Wrapping

Pallet wrapping is a technique whereby thin plastic film is wrapped around a pallet or product. This can be done manually or mechanically. Various terms are used, such as wrapping, film wrapping, stretch wrapping and pallet wrapping, but they all mean the same.

By means of wrapping it is possible to bundle or secure products and/or protect them against falling over, getting damaged or accumulating dirt during transport and storage. The ultimate objective is to package products properly, without damage and with the lowest (total) costs, to ship them from A to B.

Strapping

Strapping is a process whereby a metal or plastic strap is placed around a product or pallet to bundle it, reinforce it, or attach it to something.

The ultimate objective of strapping something is to transport and/or store products/loads quickly and without damage in a safe & efficient way.

Taping

Taping is the application of (adhesive) tape on a cardboard box, for example, or other surface.

In the packaging industry, taping is often used to close something, usually a box or packaging. In addition, tape is also often used to bundle or mark products, to communicate a message or to prevent theft.

The ultimate objective of taping is to be able to store and/or send your products without any damage, so that they arrive at your customer in perfect condition.

Coding

Coding involves the application of text, figures, symbols or other shapes on a product or packaging by means of ink.

Various terms are used, such as coding, printing or marking, but they all mean the same. Coding has several applications and objectives and there are different ways in which coding can take place.

Bundling

The term bundling is used for holding products together by means of a rubber band or a Strepper®. The machines that do this are referred to as Elastic Binders or Elastobinders.
